Classically tapered or modern tea lights, candles are easily recognized accents to a room. They can provide comfortable lighting, tiny flickers of warmth, or improve the scent of a room, as well. My personal favorite scented candles are ones that remind me of a particular time or activity--usually, these are the ones like "Sugar Cookies" or "Apple Cinnamon", to remind me of baking my favorite sweet treats around the holidays. I'm also fond of uncommon scent combinations in candles, such as lemon-basil, thyme-cucumber, or even chocolate-espresso. These rich scents are handled much better in smaller proportions, but just a whiff of the aroma can relax, excite, or energize me for hours. I've found that the Yankee Candle Company provides a great range of scented candles, in all sorts of sizes, with something for nearly everyone, and they can be easily found at almost any mall in America. For those occasional candle shoppers, or aficionados with the selective nose, it seems that craft fairs and quirky boutiques are the places to find the best candles. In my shopping travels, I've found amazing cherry pie scented candles, blueberry-lemon-vanilla candles, and even a wild watermelon limeade scent. Often, these are homemade scents mixed up in small batches, so the candles are, in a way, limited edition as well. The perfect candles, to me, also have an interesting texture or look to them. The cherry pie candles I found, for example, were off-white, vaguely vanilla-scented candles with round red wax "cherries" scattered throughout. The appearance of the red balls at random intervals in the otherwise-normal-looking vanilla candle was a pleasant surprise, and the texture that the "cherries" added to the candle made it even more fun to touch. Of course, no one touches a candle once it's been lit (or, at least, they shouldn't), but I find that these textured candles also melt in interesting ways. Sometimes, the wax melts into other colors to create a swirling pattern that wouldn't otherwise exist; occasionally, the waxes melt unevenly so that the candle smells slightly different every time (like having a variety of candles in the same olfactory family!); my favorites melt seemingly in pieces, leaving remnants of the textures that once existed, and creating new ones where the two meet. Just these two features of candles, scent and texture, provide a world of variety for those looking to accent a space or just to enjoy a change in their atmosphere. They are easy to access, simple to use, and a default gift for people you-don't-really-know. Put succinctly: candles are great

Does the flavor of milk chocolate go well with cinnamon?
I'm making bon bons with crushed baked cinnamon swirl cake and planning it to mix it with the frosting of whipped cream cheese. i have to coat it with some sort of melted chocolate. i would've preferred vanilla but all i have is chocolate. would the tastes be okay? or clash in flavors? (yuck)
Yeah cinnamon and chocolate go well together. The Mexicans sometimes put cinnamon in their hot cocoa. It is unique taste but not bad at all. If you're not sure, combine a spoonful of the ingredients and eat it. If you like it, carry on, if not, stop.
